The dual cutaway alternative

My own personal guitar playing journey has travelled heavily through music that is loud, distorted, angst ridden and meaningful. The sounds of my formative years were an eclectic mixtape of alternative influences and my love of skateboarding and non-mainstream culture drew me to the aesthetics of non-conformity, individuality and self-expression. When I sat down to sketch the Cosmopolitan template I couldn't get the image of Radio Birdman's Deniz Tek and his iconic Epiphone Crestwood Deluxe out of my head. I was also revisiting the sounds of Sonic Youth and imagining a guitar that Thurston and Lee might wield if someone stole their offsets. Maybe even something that Tim Rogers from You Am I might want to windmill on, or Marc Ford from the Black Crowes would lose himself in an improvised jam on. A vehicle for generating original, loud, cranked, fuzz-filled and overdriven expressions of human emotion. What REAL music needs to be. That's my Cosmopolitan. I build three variations - the Uno (single pickup) the Duo (two pickup) and Trio (three pickup. Each of them share the same 25" scale length with 22 frets and are finished in nitrocellulose lacquer.
